Xiangyang Zhu, obtained his doctorate in Control Theory and Application from Southeast University. He did postdoctoral research in Huazhong University of Science and Technology from 1993 to 1994. He has been professor and doctoral supervisor of School of Mechanical and Power Engineering in Shanghai Jiaotong University since 2002. He has conducted cooperative research or further study at Monash University in Australia, Concordia University in Canada, University of Tokyo in Japan, Chinese University of HongKong and City University of HongKong. Besides, He is a distinguished professor of the Cheung Kong Scholars Programme of China and a winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China.
